Why Are So Many People in This DARE Mindset About Marijuana?
Question by Gangis the great Ganja master: Why are so many people in this DARE mindset about marijuana?
THC IS HARMLESS TO YOUR BODY!!!! The only harmful part of marijuana is the carbon smoke that comes from it (and carbon smoke is pretty much every smoke you can think of), and THC has NO LD-50 rating, do you have any idea how insane that is?! And the studies are so biased, and all of their “facts” are based off correlations between marijuana users and the ailments they say are from marijuana, when many of these test subjects also smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol, do harder drugs, not to mention the stresses from work and school. I could go on all day, it just pisses me off.
Beautiful Disaster, legalizing marijuana would stop those cartels and gangs. The drug war in Mexico is because marijuana is illegal, by legalizing it you take away that revenue from those gangs. Then they would have less money for guns, and harder drugs.
Jamie, either your a liar, or your friends weed was laced with some hard drugs.
Also by legalizing marijuana it would change the social construct of the marijuana community. Most marijuana users go to multiple dealers, and most of these dealers dont just sell weed. By criminalizing marijuana you throw it into the category of an illicit drug, and so you sometimes interact with harder drug users, and then there is more of an influence. By legalizing marijuana, the users would not have to deal with people like this. If anything, you would see a decline in heavier drugs.
And as far as it being a gateway drug, then wouldnt tobacco and alcohol be the real gateway drugs. We just dont think of them as drugs because they are legal.
But not nearly as many people are going to be doing meth and heroin, and like i said above how there would be a change in the social construct in the drug community, i believe we would see a massive decrease in the use of heavier drugs.
