Why Do We Help Drug Addicts When They Never Get Clean?
Question by CAGuy: Why Do We Help Drug Addicts When They Never Get Clean?
I mean I know a few people who are major drug addicts. Like my cousin for instance. He wasted $ 60,000 on Meth and Cocaine and Heroine, then gets addicted to pain pills like vicodine and calls the police on himself and lands himself in a half-way house.
He is so fried on drugs that he sells his stuff for drugs and takes things from the family but then when he goes to see a “doctor” he gets diagnosed with “depression” and “Bi-Polar” disorder and now gets Social Security and got a back pay of $ 40,000 and $ 1,300 a month.
Why do drug addicts and bottom dwellers of society who do nothing to improve themselves get assistance but normal people who barely make it to get bye get left behind?

That’s a very good question. But the way I look at it is in the future I will have a lot more to show for my hardwork all the drug addicts will have is life full of drugs and nothing else. But just so you know the original question some people do get clean and family and friend it’s hard to give up on someone you love. I’ll never give up on my cousins who are addicted I can’t turn my back on them because they are my family but I do not support their habit or enable them. All you can do is point them in the right direction and hope for the best. For those living off of our hard work well if the system let’s them take advantage then it’s not their fault it’s the systems.
