Number 9 has some pretty dramatic storylines too. Heather Haversham (played by Amanda Burton) lived there for five years, she married Nicholas Black (played by Alan Rothwell of Picture Box schools’ TV fame) before he died of a drug addiction overdose.

In the late 1980s Terry Sullivan had married Sue and lived there, only for tragedy to strike.

In 1994 the Banks moved in, and it was the father of the family who first realised there was a smell from the drainage which led to him and Jimmy Corkhill finding the infamous "body under the patio" at number 9.

In 1996 the Simpsons moved in, with thir two teenage children infatuated with each other which led to their incest storyline.

NEW HAVEN — Steven J. Hayes told a psychiatric evaluation team that even before he was arrested in the Cheshire triple homicide, he repeatedly tried to kill himself by overdosing on drugs, slashing his wrists and driving his car into a rock, according to testimony Wednesday at his trial.
